Float glass:

This type of residential glass is made by floating molten glass on a liquid tin bed, producing an even and distortion-free surface. It is often used in windows and doors, as well as shower enclosures, mirrors, and furniture tops.

Tempered safety glass:

Commonly known as 'toughened' or 'tempered' glass, this type of residential glass has been treated to harden it so that it can withstand greater force than normal float or laminated glasses without breaking into sharp fragments.

Laminated safety glass:

This residential glazing comprises two sheets of tempered (or occasionally untempered) sheet bonded with an invisible interlayer between them – commonly PVB (polyvinyl butyral).

Fire resistant/fire-rated glazing:

Also known as fire protection glazing, these provide up to three hours of fire rating depending upon how thick they are installed - making them ideal for stairwells and other places around the home where extra protection against breakouts may be required if there were ever an accidental house fire outbreak.

Wired / Textured Glass:

These types are designed specifically for decorative purposes giving homes distinctive looks through their intricate patterns and added privacy from outsiders peering inwards at night time/early morning hours.
